Potatoes

The potato is a poor ingredient that lends itself to a great many recipes, and so do its skins, which possess a number of minerals and nutrients. They are therefore Perfect for preparing various mouthwatering recipes and thus avoiding food waste.

Potato pie with peel

Ingredients

  • 300 g. potatoes
  • 150 g. vegetable cream
  • 2 rolls of puff pastry
  • salt to taste
  • pepper to taste
  • grated cheese to taste.
  • Yolk of one egg, or milk to taste. (for brushing on the savory cake)
  • water

Proceedings

Take 300 grams of new potatoes, cut them into cubes and cook them in 1/2 liter of previously salted water. When ready, transfer them to a bowl and mash them with the help of a fork, add a glass of vegetable cream, grated cheese, salt and pepper.

Spread the puff pastry roll on a baking sheet, pour in the potato filling, and top with the second puff pastry roll. Using a fork, prick the surface of the pie and brush with beaten egg yolk or milk.

Bake at 190° for about 35-40 minutes; once ready, bake and let cool.
