Interview with Fabrizio Ziliani, sole director of Euroverde Agricultural Society

Our Sole Administrator, Fabrizio Ziliani, you recognize him by these characteristics: decision-making, sensitivity and the ability to anticipate the industry market. He comes to the company early every day and follows the activities of Euroverde and Bontà di Stagione with passion and in the round: "passion is the basis of everything and guides my operation as much as that of my two partners and our employees. We are a team, and everyone contributes in their respective areas to the growth of the company. Even before technologies and strategies come people, which we put first. Without the right ones nothing is feasible, and that is why we take great care in our relationships. It is not uncommon for one of our working days to end in the evening at dinner, to take stock of the situation, but also and especially team“.

The Euroverde brand has grown steadily in recent years, of 30% in 2016 and with the same percentage is about to close 2017 as well!" Recipes and offerings have increased, and a new salad washing and drying chain has also been introduced to give consumers better and better products and longer expiration dates. But Euroverde takes care of production starting with the raw materials, which are grown on the three farms it owns and in some exclusive affiliates: "Our product is good, safe, guaranteed, integrated control. The raw material is crucial, see the examples of two classics in the field, mashed potatoes and minestrone. In the former it is the quality of the potato that makes the difference, in the latter the high quality of the ingredients used

The watchword at Euroverde is seasonality:

another guarantee for the end consumer, in salads and soups. The pumpkin one, for example, we only make it at a certain time of the year and not at others. The zucchini we follow along the Boot throughout the year, with the aim of always having it of the highest quality“.

Fabrizio Ziliani, already from childhood in contact with the family farm (Az. Agr. Ziliani Egidio ed.) began working in this sector at the age of 19, at a time of great market expansion, then facing the large-scale distribution as early as 1992, at the same time when the first shed of 600 square meters saw the light. Euroverde, on the other hand, was founded in 1996 and will be 21 years old in 2017, increasing more and more in volume, so much so that the shed has now become a 10,000 sq. m. covered area for soups, the production of which started 4 years ago with three recipes and now has over
35!

In the future of Euroverde there are another 4,000 square meters of shed, but without ever changing the horizon: the will to give life to healthy, fresh, tasty products, as homemade and never forgetting that we are farmers, like my parents. Working well by doing innovation I consider it rewarding and winning. Giving quality service to the consumer is our mission, always remembering what my father used to say, which is that you have to distinguish yourself by doing the hard things well, and we do that.
As many as 150 families are connected to Euroverde, and the numbers are set to grow in this area as well: "In 2018, they may become 200. I feel a great responsibility to them and know that I am a reference point. The dream in the drawer is to continue to evolve and improve, making sure that the growth continues". Of course in the sign of passion!
