Coop Centro Italia hosted Bontà di Stagione in two stores in Umbria last week. The locations touched upon were the Iper Collestrada hypermarket in Perugia and the "Agora" Superstore in Foligno (Pg). Featured were star chef Walter Gallo, junior chef Marco Montanari, store manager Emanuele Anselmi and the ever-present Mario Vitulano.
The formula of instore tastings is becoming increasingly popular throughout Italy, because of the peculiarity of being able to test products in person and without commitment and having experts with whom you can dispel any doubts.
"Overall, the chickpea puree recipe was very well received. However, all the recipes were carefully considered by the audience," says Walter Gallo.
"The fact of 'explaining' our soups," points out Euroverde Società Agricola's commercial director, Franco Rollè, "makes them even more familiar and appeals to our interlocutors, both loyal and new, as does proposing some of our bases, see velvety soups, as the origins of more sophisticated and winking dishes.
