With today's wide variety and availability of food, the eating styles of all of us are changing: exotic products that we did not even know about before are now within reach of our tables, giving us the opportunity to taste distant dishes and compare ourselves with nutritional habits of other traditions. And so it is that vegetarian, vegan, gluten free diets are imposing themselves on the scene, giving rise on the one hand to communities of people adopting exclusive diets, but on the other hand offering the possibility of including in our daily diet new elements to be integrated with our traditional habit, with undeniable benefits on our health.
It is now scientifically proven that the vegan diet, if carried out critically and carefully, does not lead to nutritional deficiencies at all, but rather helps to maintain optimal health, keep weight under control, and provide our bodies with all the vitamins and proteins we need. So: why not occasionally choose to keep dairy, eggs or meat off our table?
The LAV (Anti-Vivisection League) has been launching for a few years now. A proposal to make Italians aware of the importance that our food choices have on our environment and our society: it is the WednesdayVeg, a way within the reach of everyone, even the most staunch carnivores, to experiment one day a week with a diet that excluded any kind of food from animals.
In addition to this, there has been an exponential increase in the number of people suffering from celiac disease (gluten intolerance) in recent years, so much so that the Ministry of Health has passed a law that considers celiac disease no longer a rare disease, but a chronic one, thus revising all regulations regarding exemption, diagnosis and examinations: today, people with gluten intolerance average 1 in 100, in Italy and abroad.
We at Bontà di Stagione, always attentive not only to the seasonality of products, but also to the needs of today's cuisine and food intolerances, we have created a vegan and gluten free line, which was created precisely to meet the needs of everyone: both those who have made veganism a way of life and those with severe gluten intolerance, but also those who-every now and then-prefer not to eat animal derivatives or vary type of diet.
Among the products you can find on the shelves of the best supermarkets we have a selection of starters, side dishes and appetizers: all good, all vegan.
Our line of 350 g. single-portion "Le+Good" features products that are all vegan and gluten-free, such as zucchini velouté with potatoes and buckwheat or red rice and quinoa soup, all ready to be popped in the microwave or heated in a pan and brought to the table in just a few minutes; the packs of mouth-watering Hummus in 5 colorful variations: classic, with lentils, with tomatoes and olives, with peppers, with peas. But this year's big news is almost a challenge to the Italian culinary tradition: puree, a side dish that everyone really likes, cooked without milk, so it is also suitable for those with dairy intolerances or allergies. All recipes are certified vegan & gluten free, with no preservatives or added glutamate, with extra virgin olive oil, made in Italy with fresh seasonal vegetables and all have recyclable 100% paper packaging.
