Cuddura are typical Easter sweets. In this recipe the Mantuan Pumpkin Velouté adds an extra touch of sweetness and flavor to the dough.
- Pour the eggs, sugar, zest of one lemon into a bowl and mix.
- Combine the Mantuan Pumpkin Velouté and mix.
- Add room temperature butter, baking powder and sifted flour. Mix all ingredients together with a whisk.
- Transfer the dough to the work surface and knead it until it is soft but not sticky. Place it back in the refrigerator for half an hour.
- Take the dough again and divide it into smaller parts. Create strands of the same length and form the braid, then close it in a circle.
- Add the hard-boiled egg to the center and block it with two strips of dough. Brush with egg and top with sprinkles.
- Bake in the oven at 200° for 20/25 minutes
- When cooked, bake and let them cool.
